Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL, was a talented athlete during his time at Athens High School in The Plains, Ohio, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Burrow set school records in football, including the single-season record for passing yards and touchdowns. After being highly recruited by colleges, he chose to play at Ohio State University, where he spent three years before transferring to Louisiana State University (LSU) for his senior year. At LSU, Burrow won the Heisman Trophy in 2019 and helped lead the team to an undefeated season and the National Championship. He was subsequently drafted first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft. Though he suffered a season-ending knee injury in November 2020, Burrow is expected to make a full recovery and continue his success in the future.
